Wasp Catcher

 


What you'll need…

  • Mason jars or canning jars (glass), with lids that screw on
  • flavored and colored soda
  • twine or wire (optional)

How???

  • Punch three holes in the lid large enough for a bee to crawl in
  • fill with flavored soda that is also colored (to attract the bees)
  • you can either sit them on tables outside or you can use wire or twine and hang them from trees, decks, etc
  • put them wherever the bees tend to gather
  • put them out when you first start seeing the bees so you can catch the queen bees, which will mean not as many others throughout the summer
