fill
one white cotton sock with rice or beans about 1/2 way. Make sure
the rice/beans settle well
tie
a rubber band just right above where the filling stops and make sure
you wrap the rubber band as many times as you can
fill
the sock again with rice or beans with enough to make it proportionate
(this section is the head)
tie
the sock with another rubber band above where the rice stops
to keep
the head from 'wobbling' - whip stitch the head to the body and then
tie a ribbon around the neck area for the snowman's scarf
to make
the hat, take the small colored sock and fold the top of the sock
over a little bit to look like a hat
stitch
the colored sock to the head of the snowman
to attach
the craft cotton ball to the top of the hat, turn in the toe of the
sock and sew the cotton ball where the toe of the sock has been turned
in
accessorize
the snowman with buttons, pins, sequins, etc.
an alternative
to putting a hat on the snowman is to tie a ribbon around the top
above the head and around the rubber band. Cut the cuff of the sock
in stips to give it a 'raggae' look.
