Wherever you can, in your yard or garden, pick an area big enough to write a message or name. Using potting soil, spread out a nice, thick layer. Using your finger or a stick, write something in the soil (name, date, special message). Plant flower seeds in the tracings. Cover the seeds with soil and water immediately. Make sure to give them plenty of water and sunlight to grow!

*take a picture once it's all grown….remember that the flowers won't last forever

*you can also do this in a shallow pan, like a cake pan, for something smaller
