Your Wedding Week:

  • You will usually need to give your caterer your final guest count 1-2 weeks before your wedding date. Be clear on the number of children that will be attending. Their meals are usually free or discounted.

  • Meet with your DJ to go over reception plans. Make sure you have all the correct songs for first dance, father-daughter dance, flower toss, garter toss, etc. Also make sure they are given a time schedule of the reception since they will most likely make all of the announcements.

  • If neede, confirm with vendors again, if you have not heard from them in a couple months. Don't assume they'll be there or that they still have all your info. There have been cases of no-shows or messed up decorating, cakes or pastries, food, etc. Check again - you're paying them, they shouldn't get frustrated with you.

  • If you are having a bridal party get together - do it this week usually 1-2 days before the wedding. Give them their gifts, thank them for being in your wedding, etc. If you are not doing this - bring gifts to the rehearsal dinner and present the gifts to them at that time.

  • Pack for your honeymoon. Make a check list of all the items you will need (packing check list and traveling tips). Make sure you have all your paperwork such as: Visa's or passports, birth certificate, driver's license).

  • Make sure you have all these things together ready to take to the ceremony site: programs, bubbles, guest book, decorations, etc.)
