9-12 months before:

• Assuming you have already proposed, choose a wedding date with your fiancé. Discuss budget, size, style, etc.
  
  
• Plan a guest list. Start with all those you want to have attend, then revise to meet budget, location size, etc.

• Discuss honeymoon options.
  
  
• Begin looking for rings together.
