We met at a job in Denver, called Livran's Lighting (now Galleria
Ltg.). We ended up working in the warehouse together for a while,
then he worked for my dad and 4 years later, he proposed.

Thursday, June
16, 1999 - Charley told my dad at the end of the workday that he was
quitting construction and would no longer be working for him. Then
he asked my dad permission to marry me. Of course he said yes. That
night we were hanging out and we watched some music award show and
I was tired and wanted to go home. He asked if he could play me a
song on the guitar first. So, he played and sang a song (which I had
a hard time understanding all the words) and afterwards, he got down
on one knee and asked me.
